The Indian Cricket team unveiled their jersey for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 on Monday, February 17. India captain Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, Hardik Pandya and Arshdeep Singh were seen dressed up in new colours as they posed for cameras. However, what caught everyone’s attention was the name of the host nation Pakistan on their jersey.

The ICC (International Cricket Council) shared the photographs of the Indian players who received their ICC awards and team of the year caps ahead of the Champions Trophy 2025. In the photographs, players were seen donning their new attire for the tournament, which had the imprint of the tournament’s logo and the name of hosts Pakistan. Champions Trophy 2025: Full coverage

Speculation was rife that India wouldn't be wearing jerseys that feature the Pakistan imprint as part of the official logo of the tournament. However, BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia confirmed to India Today that the Indian team will adhere to the guidelines of the ICC.

It’s the first time in recent times that India’s jersey has Pakistan’s name printed on it, as during the Asia Cup 2023, which was also played in Pakistan, none of the teams had the hosts’ name on their jerseys.
